Overview / Responsibilities
Recruiting a competent Lead Contracts Engineer as a member of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team based in Kuwait, responsible for construction and completions delivery of KNPC’s Fifth Gas Train Project.
Sustain a good team spirit within the project team, KNPC, and EPC Contractor
Manage commercial and contract including co-ordination of the work in the EPC Contractor’s Home Office, Kuwait Site and London Home Offices to maximize the effectiveness of project delivery to time, budget and quality objectives
Monitor, review and approve key commercial documentation relating to delivery of the EPC Contractor’s work
Review all correspondences from a commercial perspective including minutes of meeting to / from the EPC Contractor
Provide leadership, guidance and direction concerning all facets of the project and its commercial delivery
Interface with KNPC assigned personnel and the EPC Contractor for formal and informal reviews on commercial matters with respect to project delivery
Undertake EPC Contractor third party approvals as required for procurement and subcontracts
Provide contractual advice and support to KNPC throughout the project life cycle
Manage all formal communications from a contractual perspective both internal and external
Verify and approve interim payments to the EPC Contractor
Execute contract close out activities including final account documentation in accordance with KNPC policies and procedures
Provide commercial management guidance and direction as may be required
Participate in monthly progress reviews with KNPC and the EPC Contractor
Participate in monthly KNPC and project progress reports and presentations
Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Any discipline)
Minimum fifteen years post diploma experience
Minimum six years’ experience in the oil & gas, refining, and petrochemical industries
Good written and verbal communication skills
Functional management, leadership and teambuilding skills
Prior PMC experience an asset
Prior Middle East experience an asset
