Site Project Director

Project Leadership
•Lead and project manage the successful delivery of complex large scale high quality multi-disciplinary projects
•Provide leadership in the area of Health and Safety
•Lead and champion that projects adhere to Project Lifecycle
•Accountable for the contractual relationship between the business and the client; taking the process from proposal to contract, utilising the advice of the support functions
•Ensure proactive project planning, stakeholder and risk management takes place across projects
•Lead the team to identify, assess and manage major project risk and secure the best commercial return from the projects in their portfolio
•To ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met
•Accountable for the accurate and timely recognition of revenue for projects
•Accountable for overseeing and delivering the process of working capital management from inception to completion within set deadlines; This includes the timing of invoicing, the review of work in progress and the collection of outstanding invoices from clients whilst utilising the advice of the support functions as necessary
•Contribute to the completion of monthly management project reports to be issued by set deadline
•Management of the construction contract as the Engineer, as modified by the contract specifics

Business Leadership
•Responsible for the leadership and support of their team across multiple locations in multiple countries
•Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
•Ensure the right resources are utilised effectively at the right time across their team and projects.
•Input into recruitment and selection strategies
•Contribute to project teams inductions, performance management reviews and personal development plans that support the development of individuals and the business
•Contribute to succession planning and career development across their team
•Support the development and delivery of training and awareness session as required
•Contribute to the development and drive the implementation of the business strategy
•Attend and contribute to quarterly senior management meetings
•Attend and lead team and project meetings, cascade relevant information and encourage feedback from team
•Engage with peer group and contribute to industry events and associations

•Provide leadership and guidance on the project management of major multi discipline projects
•Keep up to date with industry developments with respect to own discipline, other disciplines and engineering innovations and developments on a global scale
•Initiate and support the technical capabilities of the business unit and project team
•Initiate and facilitate technical solutions on projects
•Drive innovation and utilise technological advancement
•Experience in the buildings market preferred but not essential

Qualifications and Experience
•BEng / BSc (Hon) or equivalent degree with minimum 20 years post graduate experience
•Experience being “Engineers Representative” on site
•Member of associated Professional body
•C.Eng preferred
•Experience and proven ability to lead and project manage an engineering team and multi-disciplinary projects
•Experience and proven ability in acting as The Engineer in a FIDIC based contract
•Experience of MS Office Suite of Programmes
•Comprehensive experience in associated discipline software.
